I am currently sitting here at my home in Kentucky on December 31st, 2018 reflecting on the past 365 days.

These days overall have been really good to me. I only had one rocky path in the spring when I started having really painful, scary headaches that affected my happiness and school work. I didn’t really want to do anything when having these headaches. When I finally went to the hospital for them the doctors did tests to knock out the possibility of a tumor. Hearing it wasn’t that made me feel a lot better because we all know how Internet research can be when trying to self diagnose yourself. It’s either cancer or a tumor. Luckily, it was just a normal headache pattern that they were able to break the cycle of with medicine and fluids! I was able to finish the semester strong and continue laughing and and being happy with my roommates.

Overall my year was filled with happy and healthy relationships with my friends and family. A lot of laughing occurred and many, many memories were made. I gained a lot of confidence this year with myself that I lacked in other years. I worked at a daycare over the summer and learned a lot about responsibility and leadership. I had a great time working at the daycare and during my time there I actually found out I am going to be a aunt which I’m very ecstatic about! Stella, the baby girl, is due in January.

In my first semester of being a sophomore in college I feel like I’ve figured out what I really would like to do with my life, though I’m still learning. I took the class, Introduction to Journalism and fell in love. I have always been a very curious person who loves the news and learning about new things. I love to adventure and travel. I love fashion and entertainment. I love being a storyteller. That’s when I decided to make acting (my original major) a minor and make journalism my major. Am I giving up on acting? Of course not. I am expanding my dreams and what could be possible for me in the future.

2018 has been a year of growing and learning which I hope 2019 is just the same because I still need to learn and grow but I am hoping I can make it more eventful as far as internships, opportunities, and traveling. Do I know what 2019 has in store for me yet? No idea! Am I excited and a little scared to find out? You bet!

New Year Resolutions:

• Travel more.

• Write more.

• Worry less.

• Eat better.

• Workout.

• Put myself out there.

• Be more open.

• Care for yourself.

• Take more pictures.

• Take social media breaks.

• Take opportunities that come your way.

Happy New Year!

Home For Christmas

Home For Christmas

I really can’t believe that Christmas is already here. Can you? The first semester of my sophomore year of college has flew by and I don’t know why I am so surprised because freshmen year also was gone before my eyes. It kind of scares me that time goes by so quickly. I swear just a second ago I was twelve! That’s awkward. Okay, okay enough about time and how I have none of it left.

I am very happy to be home for the holidays and to be hanging out with my mom because she is my best friend. Also my dog, Milly. She is very clingy and cuddly but I love her, plus the cuddles.

If I’m being completely honest, it doesn’t really feel like Christmas here in Kentucky because of how weirdly warm it is. I love global warming! She says sarcastically.

Besides that, I think it will be nice this year even though I don’t believe that it’s just around the corner. I could finally afford to buy my whole family Christmas gifts so that’s pretty exciting.

I am also excited for my Chirstmas Eve tradition, with my family, of eating Chinese food and watching all the Glee Christmas episodes (mostly just me and my mom on that one) and A Christmas Story.

You know what I’m not excited for? Christmas being over. Oh no… let’s try not to think about that right now. Let’s think about all the lovely things about the holiday season like, Christmas movies, music, decorations, cookies, fuzzy socks, cozy pajamas, ugly sweaters, yummy food, and spending time with family and friends.

Happy Holidays everyone!
